Raspberry Ketone Clinical Studies

Several studies have been conducted to find out the efficacy of African Mango and Raspberry ketone as outlined below.

Raspberry Ketone clinical trials

Although, there are no human clinical trials for raspberry ketones, it is considered as a “generally recommended as safe” product. The animal clinical trials have shown significant health benefits and weight loss.

The Ehime University conducted a study in mice. The mice were fed a high fat diet and raspberry ketone extract. Raspberry ketone prevented increases in body weight as well as the fatty acid deposits in liver and other organs. In mice eating a high-fat diet without raspberry ketone, and then later eating the supplement, raspberry ketone decreased weight and liver fat content caused by the previous high-fat diet without supplementation.

The combination of the various super foods used in the Raspberry Ketone products make for an excellent supplement that is effective in weight loss. When combined with African mango, the product increases its effectiveness significantly.

Further tests and clinical trials are required to strongly establish the benefits of these dietary supplements. Trials so far has shown promise for these products as good weight loss supplements.

African Mango clinical trials

The University of Yaounde I in Cameroon, Africa conducted a study with 40 participants in 2005. The participants were chosen at random for the double blind study. 28 subjects received 1.05 g of the African Mango extract three times a day. The control group of 12 participants received placebo at the same time. The duration of the study was one month. At the end of the study, the study group had a decrease in body weight by 5.26 percent and the control group had only 1.32 percent decrease in their body weight. Furthermore, the study group had significant decrease in their cholesterol levels when compared to the control group.
In 2008, another study involving 102 participants was carried out. The group was randomly divided. The study group was given 150 mg of the extract and the control group was given the placebo at the same times. The results were then taken after 4, 8, and 10 week periods of time. The results showed that the study group has significant improvements in body weight, fat and waist circumference compared to the control group.

In another study conducted by University of Yaounde I in Cameroon, Africa the subjects were divided into 3 separate groups, and tested a placebo, Cissus Quadrangularis, and a combination of African Mango extract and Cissus Quadrangularis. All subjects were told to maintain current lifestyle habits, and the third test group was given 150mg of African Mango. The body weight, fat, and lipid levels were monitored for these participants for 10 weeks. The group taking Cissus Quadrangularis showed improvements, however the third group showed significant health benefits. The third group was given African Mango extract.
